The Iconic London Anniversary Games 2016, which also doubles up as the IAAF Diamond League will return to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Stadium this weekend to the delight of millions of athletic fans around the world!
The track at this prestigious sporting event will be graced by non-other than the 100m and 200m world record holder, Usain Bolt. Earlier this month, Bolt pulled out of an event in Kingston with a muscle tear.
However, he quickly brushed off rumours of him pulling out of the Rio 2016 Olympics. And to prove that he is still in top form, he will compete in the 200m race of the London Anniversary Games. Here Bolt will face Brits such as Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake who finished a sprint at 19.95 earlier this year and Adam Gemili.
Competing on Friday are Mo Farah and Dina Asher-Smith, who will take to the track in the 5,000m and 100m event respectively. The London 2012 Olympics 100m Champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will also be in action.
Other Brits competing at the London Anniversary Games are Katarina Johnson-Thompson, and Jessica Ennis-Hill. Both of them will be in action on Friday and Saturday.
And on Saturday, you can also catch London 2012 Paralympics champions Hannah Cockroft, David Weir, and Jonnie Peacock in action.
