London Fashion Week 2019

Gear up for London Fashion Week! There are over 250 designers ready to showcase their masterpieces to a keen audience. This biannual industry event is a chance for many of the world’s designers and buyers to flock to the capital to see next seasons trends. Are you one of those fashion industry insiders?

What is it all about?

Did you know, London Fashion Week (LFW) is one of four major fashion events that occur each year? The other three cities are New York, Milan and Paris. It is organised by the British Fashion Council.

LFW is known for celebrating and showcasing promising designers alongside well-established brands. This grand event is set to start on September 13th and runs until September 17th. It is attended by more than 5,000 press and buyers. During the week, orders placed often exceed £100million.

September 15th is the day for Britain’s top designers to showcase their latest designs. Yes, there will be the likes of Victoria Beckham and Margaret Howell. Christopher Kane and Burberry will show off their collections on the next day. The closing day will see shows from minimalist designer Charlotte Knowles and London based Bobby Ably.

Following a strict registration process, tickets for the main shows at LFW are only issued to buyers, photographers and press. But parts of the shows are accessible to everyone. There will be six sessions open to the public. They include catwalk shows by House of Holland & self-portrait and ALEXACHUNG.

The public can also attend talks by Lindsay Peoples Wagner, Billy Porter, Laura Weird, Henry Holland, Laura Brown and Eva Chen.

London Fashion Week Festival shows have two categories of tickets. The first is known as “Insider” tickets. These offer the following:

  • Free drink
  • Access to an industry-led Positive Fashion Talk
  • Access to a designer catwalk show
  • Free exclusive London Fashion Week tote bag
  • Access to BFC Positive Fashion Designer Exhibition

The other level of ticket available is categorised as “Front Row”. These include the following:

  • Free drink
  • Access to designer catwalk show with a front-row seat
  • Free exclusive London Fashion Week tote bag packed with gifts
  • Access to BFC Positive Fashion Designer Exhibition
  • Access to an industry-led Positive Fashion Talk – a reserved seat in front of the room
  • Access to the VIP for lounge
