The road to the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ has already begun with the preliminary competitions. The excitement is gradually building up for this quadrennial international football tournament which will take place from the 14th of June to the 15th of July 2018.
Russia, the host country, will be joined by thirteen other UEFA members and not less than eighteen teams from the other continents. The qualifying group stage has already started in Europe since September 2016 and will end in October this year. There are currently two groups of five teams and seven group of 6 team competing.
The nine European preliminaries group winners will automatically qualify for the finals. The eight runner ups that achieve the best record will go into the play-offs, where half of them will qualify for the finals. The officially qualified team up to now are the host nation, Brazil and Iran.

Germany is the hot contender with odds of +500, followed closely by Brazil and France, both with odds of +700. Then comes Spain with +800 and Argentina with +900.
