How to Play Live Blackjack January 3, 2017
Live Blackjack is a multiplayer Blackjack game, which is turn-based with a maximum of 7 players. The game is played with 6 decks of cards. The special feature about Live Blackjack is that it is hosted by a live casino dealer. Cards are shuffled in an automatic shuffling machine and the aim is to create a hand with a value that is equal to or closer to 21 than the dealer’s hand without going over.
Betting on Live Blackjack
The Live Blackjack table has 7 seats and any available seat is indicated by a green light shown below the betting box. To take an available seat, you will require clicking the betting box, however, you can only occupy one seat at the table. Occupied seats display the username of the seated player below the betting box. If you do not place any bet for 3 consecutive game rounds, you will be sent a warning message about the inactivity. If for the next game as well you remain inactive, you lose your seat and it will automatically become available to other players. You may leave your seat by clicking the arrow beside your betting box.
Chips values on Live Blackjack are 1, 5, 25, 100 and 1,000. At the beginning of a game, the dealer will invite you to place your bets and the bet timer will begin to count down in seconds. To place a bet, you will require selecting a chip and click on your betting box. Further clicks on this box will add further chips of the same value to your stake. After the betting has closed, the dealer will deal one card to themselves and two cards to each seated player. According to Blackjack rules, each player will then take a turn at playing their hand, and this sequence of the hand starts with the rightmost seated player and goes to the left.
The action timer will start a count down after you receive your first two cards on Live Blackjack and your applicable hand options will appear. You will require selecting from the available hand options to play your hand before the timer ends. The next player will take their turn or the dealer will draw cards to their own hand. When the dealer concludes their hand, it marks the end of the game round. The dealer then clears the table and all winning bets are paid.
Numbered cards which range from 2 to 10 count as face value, while aces count as either 1 or 11, and kings, queens, and jacks count as 10. A soft hand is a hand with an ace that can be counted as either 1 or 11 without busting. A hard hand is a hand without an ace that can be counted as either 1 or 11 without busting. While playing Live Blackjack, you have the option to Hit where the dealer gives you an additional card, Stand where you take no additional card and play your hand as it is, or Double by doubling the value of your initial bet and receive one additional card before your hand automatically stands. You may also choose to double a split.
You have Blackjack if the first two cards in the card stream total 21. Blackjack always beats any other hand with a value of 21. If your hand is closer to 21 than the dealers hand without going over, you win, however, if the dealer’s hand is closer to 21 without going over, then you lose.
